ASK THE EXPERT: MANAGING MEDS & TREATMENT PLANS FOR EMERGING YOUTH
ADHD & Medication webinar May 12, 2021
Medication is not a requirement for ADHD management. There are many behavioral strategies to improve habits and to combat inattentive, hyperactive, or impulsive tendencies. However, medication can be transformative when the right dosage and product are identified and taken as directed. Neurologist Sarah Cheyette, M.D., will share her decades-old insights in helping people of all ages manage ADHD with a focus on emerging youth. She believes that management is not a “one-size fits all” strategy and a result she will help you tailor a customized, healthy treatment plan using mind, body, spirit (and sometimes medication) to manage ADHD.
Learning Objectives:
- To define the difference between stimulants and non-stimulants.
- To explore the “sanitation system” that removes dopamine and norepinephrine, and what can reduce its effectiveness.
- To discover the use of mind, body and spirit (and sometimes medication) to manage ADHD.
